Miss Mallory's Sneak Peek {5 days new}

Had a visit with a sweet little newborn & her family over the weekend.  I met Mallory when she was 5 days old and slightly more than 5 lbs.  She's got a lot of growing to do to catch up with her 2 brothers, but I'm sure that won't take long because we all know just how fast these little miracles grow!
It wasn't too long ago I was photographing middle brother, Kyle's, newborn pics (as a matter of fact I still stare at his newborn pic every day b/c I framed one & have it sitting on my desk - it's one of those sessions I was pretty proud of)
Before we really got started with Miss Mallory's session, we tried to get the boys into a shot with their new baby sis.  It's pretty tough getting the boys in their place (at their ages) all while keeping an eye out for baby girl.  I'm not sure if this is what mom wanted - I know the boys aren't in focus, but the minute I saw it I loved it!  I love the fact that baby girl is in focus while the boys are blurred in the background - the session was all about her anyway ;-)

 Before I left, Mallory's mom asked me to think about what I felt should be displayed on the wall in Mallory's nursery.  With that in mind while editing, it came down to one of the last shots I had in post-processing.  I kept thinking about Mallory's adorable little nursery and how there were chocolate brown walls and hot pink walls and decided on this image.  I gave it a chocolate tone to match the theme in her room - this will look fantastic in her nursery!

What's Next...

Just a tiny peek at the newborn session I'm working on now.  Introducing Miss Mallory who was 5 days new, a little over 5 lbs. & sporting her first pedi.  More to come of this sweet angel...

The Herlocker Family {Sneak Peek}

I always try to do the best job I can with each and every session and the pressure is really on when I am asked to be the photographer for another photographer.  This wasn't my first session with the Herlocker's, but the anxiety while driving to the shoot was evident.  All that seemed to fade once I saw Amber & her family for another summer beach session.  The Herlockers are so sweet and had me rolling in the sand laughing when they bust out singing (together) "Country Girl Shake it for Me".  I loved every minute of this session!

There was an addition to the family session this summer...

Amber is owner of Amber Herlocker Photography which is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.  She's an awesome photographer and teacher.  She's hosted several successful photography workshops while juggling her business & family.  She is an inspiration to many, including me.  ;-)

Stacey + Kyle are Expecting {the sneak peek}

I was so excited to see these two love birds again.  Stacey looked just as beautiful as she did the day I had the honor of photographing her wedding.  She & Kyle are now expecting a little girl in September.  Here are just a few of my favorite shots from their maternity session.

There's an inside joke to the next pic.  Kyle nicknamed baby girl "Cookie" and so Stacey made a shirt...  (by the way, her legal name will be Ava)

Stacey & Kyle, I am so happy for you two and I look forward to meeting Miss Ava.  Thank you so much for including me in your special moments.  God bless & see ya in September!! 

Morgan Family {Sneak Peek}

It always gives me a warm fuzzy to have families reconnect with me so that we can have another family session summer after summer ESPECIALLY those that vacation here on the East Coast.  The Morgan family decided to vacation in Charleston this summer instead of Myrtle Beach and I was more than happy to travel a little ways for beautiful Charleston!  Thank you Morgan family, I look forward to seeing you again next summer!

Jennifer + Warren are Expecting {the sneak peek}

I was excited to meet up with Jennifer + Warren.  We went to high school together and actually still all live in the same small town, however NEVER see each other (strange how that happens).  Nonetheless, I was honored to capture this time in their lives and I can't wait to meet Warren's new fishing buddy ;-)

Alverson Family {Sneak Peek}

I'm behind on blogging.  It's summer.  After I'm done editing this session, I've got 4 more to do before the weekend.  It's summer.   So, Peeps who are waiting on sneak peeks, Peeps who are waiting on a return phone call or text, Peeps who are waiting on me to make my move on Words with Friends....please continue to be patient.  I promise I'm still here, just trying to keep it going without a whole lot of distractions while keeping my family happy too.  Did I mention it's summer?

Baby Benton {5 days new}

Mom of new baby boy Benton did just what I requested of her - get in touch with me as soon as you get home with him so that we can do his newborn session {preferably before a week old}.  Did you hear that all you prego ladies?  
I absolutely LOVE working with newborns.  They are so sweet & innocent & just a beautiful little blessing from God.  Benton actually made his debut on my daughter's birthday. ;-)  I know mom of new baby Benton is anxiously awaiting her sneak peek & I am happy to introduce him to the world for her!

Ashton + Wesley {Expecting}

You are gorgeous!  That's what I kept telling Ashton during her session.  I loved how the camera loved her and that beautiful tan bump.  I am so excited editing these images & couldn't wait to post this sneak peek...

I have been thinking of you guys ever since our session.  I hope to be seeing that baby boy soon!  ;-)
