Marklie {7mo}

Little Marklie sure has changed a lot since her newborn session.
It was really cool seeing all her newborn images around her house when I went for my visit/session.  Marklie's mom and I are high school friends so I took advantage of our time together ;-)
There's too much cuteness to show you....I can't take up any more time telling you how great the session was, how great her mommy and daddy and big brother did, and how great it was to see them all. And I can't wait to see them again!

Now, head on over to the website and take a look at the images...SO CUTE!!

Emma Kate {18mo}

Look at how much Miss Emma Kate has grown!  She's changed a good bit since her 6 month and 1 year session.  She's mastered walking, she has more hair and she was repeating words like "look" and "pretty".  For the most part she was very busy just exploring the world around her and I was right behind her (and in front of her) capturing her curiosity.  Here's a peek of some of the shots. Love this age!

Kingston Elementary Career Day

Long time, no blog.  Here's what I been up to...

I was asked to speak at Kingston Elementary School for their Career Day.  It was a little out of my comfort zone.  I mean, is there anyone that really enjoys public speaking?

I gave five, maybe six 20 minute presentations about being a photographer.  I talked about how I started and what I liked to shoot (with a camera, not a gun).  I prepared a slideshow with LOTS of pictures and answered LOTS of good questions.  The kids really had me thinking and put me to the test.  It was so much fun and all in all I honestly enjoyed talking about photography, it ended up being really easy for me.

I also showed the kids a little bit of the editing process by snapping a pic of someone in the room and then changing their hair color, adding mustaches to the boys or taking something out of an image.  They LOVED that!!  Here are a few of the unedited shots of my volunteers...

I wanted to say thank you to Kingston Elementary School for inviting me to your Career Day.  I need to also thank Mrs. Sanders for letting me borrow her classroom and Smartboard.  Of course, I couldn't leave without snapping a couple of her students...
