Merry Christmas!

I'm not sure if "the more the merrier" is true.  I have been editing sessions and designing Christmas cards since November 1.  I found time (6 days before Christmas) to try to design MY Christmas cards.  Now, here it is 2am, 5 days before Christmas, and I finally feel like I really have some FREE time.  woo-hoo!  Before I turn in to sleep in, I thought I would post a pic (and a preview to all those on my mailing list) of my attempt of getting pics of my own perfect kiddos for our Christmas cards.  It's officially the new favorite picture of my two...

Mary & Ayla {sneak peek}

Say hello to my new little best friends :-)  I met them back in June of this year so I was very excited to be getting more shots of them again.  These two little beauties could seriously replace a couple of the Justice models I keep seeing in the catalogs.  They were so adorable with lots of spunk & some of the sweetest little ladies you can meet.  Not to mention, they can rock some shots!
Here are my portrait picks...

Merry Christmas girls.  I sure hope Santa brings you that baby hippo!

Mr. Liam {5 days new}

I was so excited to meet Mr. Liam.  I met his daddy last year as my daughter's 4th grade teacher and through facebook, I have been able to keep up with mom's prenatal progress.  And yes, I selfishly admit to giving my daughter a business card with a newborn pic on it to give to her teacher last year when I knew they were expecting.  So glad that I did! ;-)
It means a lot to me to be chosen as the photographer who comes in to do the newborn session. I am well aware of all the overwhelming factors that is present when you bring your brand new baby home.  For a new mommy and daddy to welcome me into their home just a couple days after they arrive from the hospital really is humbling.  Thank you Mogus family for trusting me with your precious baby boy and for allowing me to document him at such an early age.  I do hope to see you all again soon!
Meet Mr. Liam.

The next setup was a request of dad's.  He wanted to incorporate his high school mit & the Red Sox.  Liam's nursery is a Red Sox theme...

Redman Fellas {sneak peek}

Show me a dad that enjoys spending time with his son and you are tugging at my heartstrings!  Great session with the Redman guys - I am swooning at these shots I captured on the beach of them.  Memories to last them for a lifetime...

Collins Family {sneak peek}

Little behind on blogging...December is a busy month!
Finally got the opportunity to get this family's session done.  It seemed as though something would always come up the past several times and we had to postpone it.
One of the final family sessions of 2011 - I loved this shoot!

The Reids :) {sneak peek}

If I've ever been family photo envious, it's NOW.  On the top of my list for beautiful families would be this one family (sorry for the bias...can't really help it)
Yep, it's my [twin] sister's family who I really can't get enough of.  If truth be known, I'd pack my bags tomorrow and move 4 hours up the road to be with them if my husband would come with us. ;-)  I am so lucky blessed to have Janet.
Words can't express, but Martina McBride did a good job in her song titled "Blessed"...
I have been blessed
And I feel like I've found my way
I thank God for all I've been given
At the end of every day
I have been blessed
With so much more than I deserve
To be here with the ones that love me
To love them so much it hurts
I have been blessed

Wellons family {sneak peek}

So much to be said about this family...but these few words will have to do for now.  We all know how it goes.  We rush through our days/weeks focusing on our family and what really matters the most.  Nothing wrong with that!  It's a shame though that friends let their time together get put on the back burner.  Guilty!
The Wellons family have been friends of ours for years.  My husband and I went snow skiing in Colorado with David & Melanie more than a few years ago.  They are always lots of fun and have the most giving spirit I've seen.  We don't see each other as much as we would like, but I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the Wellons family even if I was working the entire time ;-)
It was a great session with lots of great shots, but here are a few of my favorites...

 I admit, I'm kicking myself for not saving this idea for my kids.  I love these next images...

 {insert pure JOY}

Miss Madalyn with her real, but not real glasses.  She's a trip!

Thanks for trusting me with your precious family photos.  I am above honored to have the opportunity.
XOXO, Marcia

Sisters stick together...

Sisters stick together like fat thighs. <------ I saw this on a sign while scrolling around on Pinterest.  Glad I could make you smile. :-)

I love these kids.  They are the daughters of some of my dear friends and they are special little ladies.  The youngest and my daughter are the same age and spend time together when they are not busy with their going-ons.  They become sisters when they are around each other and that melts my heart.
It was TOUGH picking the images for this sneak peek, but I did my best.  Check out these beautiful faces - they can totally rock close-ups...

I am so in LOVE with the next shot.  Heart. is. melting.

Helloooo wall portraits!

Roberts Family {sneak peek}

Another great family session.  It was these 3 and their entourage.  No kidding, there was probably 5-6 other family members standing behind the camera with me.  Koty kept referring to her family as the "funny farm"...I didn't mind a bit.  I actually enjoyed the company and the way the whole family got along.
Here are a few of my favorites from the Roberts family session..

Holmes Family {sneak peek}

Like I said, family sessions are the buzz right now.  I had the complete delight to spend some time with the Holmes family.  Wife/Mom, Cammie, told me that this was the first family photos they've had since their first child was an infant.  My response:  "SHAME on you!"  I'm so happy I got to capture these moments for them...

I saw a sign/quote on Pinterest that I thought was appropriate:

Being a family means you are a
part of something very wonderful.
It means you will love
and be loved for the rest of your life.
No matter what.

Thank you Holmes family for a perfect session...I just know you are going to cherish these images forever.

GO TIGERS!!
