A lot of my sessions have had to be rescheduled because of all the rain we've been getting here. Ughh. Nonetheless, it gives me more time to work on the sessions that need editing - like Miss Madison's. I treaded on over to meet her last Friday at only 4 days new to this world. Yep, 4 days old {squeal!} which means that she folded so easily and slept the ENTIRE time. I was working with the little bit of light that was coming from the rain clouds, but ended up with some fantastic shots so that her family can remember her newness. They change & grow so quickly.
Here's some of my favorites of this sweet little girl.
Big Brother, Wyatt, was so sweet with her...

Miss Emerson
I met Miss Emerson when she was 12 days new - a little older than my other newborns. Although, she wasn't too sleepy - the waiting was well worth it. Her family was over-the-top sweet to us - it was a pleasure to meet them and hang out for a few hours. I hope they enjoy the peek of their beautiful new bundle's session!

Mr. Fisher
Mr. Fisher was one of my newborns last year. He's about to celebrate his first birthday. He started his session dressed to impress...I was more than overly-impressed. :-)
and balloons!
Can we all just take a second and admire these baby blues? Holy Moly!
I do love a Tiger!
And in honor of the big birthday coming up....cupcakes!
and balloons!
Loved seeing Fisher again. I hope this continues ;-)

Miss Addison
I've been talking with the mom of Miss Addison about her newborn session since she was only a few months along in her pregnancy.
Miss Addison and I met when she was 10 days new. She is precious and was an absolute joy to photograph - she even let me cuddle with her a good while during one of her feeding/pooping breaks ;-)
Miss Addison has a pretty pink room with a lot of diva touches...
She did so well -- snoozing while I changed her accessories.

Moving Forward
My husband had a huge stereo when we got married. You know, the one that sat in the big black cabinet, it had the glass door that you would push to open and close. (I always liked that clicking noise it would make when it attached to the magnet) It was the size of a bookcase. Well, that stereo had a disc changer that would hold about 300+ CDs. Music of all genres including holiday albums.
The days of listening to music CDs is long gone. An iPod and a docking station has taken the place of those 300+ CDs that is tucked away in a cabinet in our garage.

I've decided to update the way I deliver digital negatives. In the past I have transferred/burned digital negatives on a CD for my clients. I'm excited to share with you the newest trend to receiving digital images via Marcia Todd Photography. USB flash drives, a custom branded USB flash drive. Here's a peek at what Marcia Todd Photography clients get when digital negatives are purchased...
Cute huh? They are so cool - they fit in the palm of your hand. Just a simple twist exposes & conceals the USB connector so you don't have a lid to keep up with. They also have a little key ring that allows you to put on a set of keys. You could wear it like a pendant on a necklace.....that's what I've been doing. **crickets**
I love them and I have a feeling that my clients will too!!

Frazier Family
There were many occasions when I would run into Melissa, she would say "check your calendar..." She was adamant about having a family session - she said it had been way too long.
It really is a great feeling for me to be able to capture family photos. Pretty simple for me to get those great family-bonding images now that I've been on both sides of the camera. (I just had a family session - blog post about that soon) As a mother and wife waiting to see images of you and your family...I get it, I really get it. The excitement of seeing how it all came together i.e. the outfit choices, the location, the photographer, the kids moods and the husband's patience....I GET IT.
So, back to the Frazier's session ;-) - here's some I know they will cherish now and years later.
