The goal of this session was to get shots of all three of them together, however not ALL of them were on board with our plan.  (Ms. Emery goes to the beat of her own drum - LOL)  You can see all the images from our session here, but here's a few of my favorites.

Poole Family

I had some really breezy sessions last week on the beach.  I'm talking at least 25mph/ sting your legs and make your hair stand up kind of breezy.  So a very breezy session + a very active 2 year old + a 9 month old will definitely make you work HARD for your money ;-)


The modo that I've adopted is "Stay Calm and Click On" and try to keep up because trust me, every single second counts.

The Herlockers

Another summer day on the beach with the Herlockers.  I think this makes our third summer together?  I love getting to see Amber and her family, even if it is once a year. ;-)
The beach was hazy bright and sooooo windy - we were all covered in sand when it was done, but nonetheless, we got some great family shots.  Enjoy!

Jade

You know how you meet some people and they just have "it"?  I have met several folks that fall into that category and you're about to meet one of them.  A very charismatic Jade, who is a sheer joy to photograph and work with - such a sweet kid.  She has a very captivating look and personality.  Narrowing down images to blog were difficult, but here's what I came up with...

Miss Ava {sneak peek}

Miss Ava and I go back a whole year.  She's one of my repeats from the upstate.  She was on vacation this week in my neck of the woods so I was able to meet up with her to document her first birthday (which is right around the corner - can't believe it).  She's always been such an adorable little diva!

Sometimes I just can't decide which processing I like better (mainly because she is so incredible cute)

Even her temper tantrums are presh! ;-)

Well now, we can't celebrate a birthday without cake...

Avery & Emery {sneak peek}

Man, has it been hot!  Hello South Carolina summer.  


Wanted to share a few of my favorites from a recent sister shoot.  We all braved the heat in a stunning sunflower field.


Miss Avery was promised a doggie dream light if she did a good job during her photo-shoot.  I think she deserves it.  Dang, after all the sweat I shed, I think I deserve one too ;-)

Miss Paizleigh {7 days new}

Had the awesome opportunity to meet Miss Paizleigh when she was just 7 days new.  She was such a little sweetheart! 

She was so little, but had big smiles. 

 Miss Paizleigh won't have any worries with her big brother around.  Josh was so gentle and patient with her (& me).  

July Photo Challenge: Day at the Beach

I decided to enter a photo contest that I saw over at www.rocktheshotforum.com  The only requirement is that it be an amazing shot at the beach.  
I shoot a lot, A LOT of beach sessions, but the one image that came floating back to my mind was from the amazing beach wedding I shot on Fripp Island...

James Bryan {7 days new}

I was so excited to meet the newest addition to the Richardson family.  Master James Bryan was nothing short of perfect and I just know that he is going to be loved beyond measure as he continues to grow.  I am so thrilled to have captured him during his first week of life.

Miss Reese was being such a great big sister.  I remember when I did her newborn session!
